LOLER Inspections

You must ensure that lifting equipment meets safety standards outlined by the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. This is a legal requirement. Also known as Thorough Examinations, you should have your lifting equipment inspected every 6 – 12 months.

Forklifts – or any form of lifting equipment – should be serviced regularly. You must ensure that your forklift trucks are safe to use and compliant with HSE regulations. Your lifting equipment will need to pass a LOLER Thorough Examination every 6 to 12 months depending on the type machine it is.
