Hiremech is committed to creating a culture where the wellbeing of our people is a priority. As part of this activity, we were delighted to host a Mental Health and Wellbeing Day!
Posters were created and displayed around the building which emphasised the importance of Mental Health and wellbeing with various contacts and resources for support. Positive mental health quotes were also shown on each department’s doors. This was a huge success with our people and as a result is going to continue on a weekly basis.
Louise Samuel, Credit Controller at Hiremech, mental health first aider and event organiser, encouraged staff to wear green in support of the event and gave up time to offer a coffee and a chat to anyone who wanted to sit down and talk to someone.
Louise said:
“We all enjoyed a lovely light lunch together as a group where everyone put down tools and came together, which was great as we all interacted and it got everyone talking in a calm and relaxed environment, along with wearing green where possible.”
“The overall feedback from staff was fantastic with many admitting that it had opened up a lot of their minds to such a sensitive matter that at some point affects us all.”
We will continue to support and listen to our staff; that’s what truly makes us stand out as a company.
